Tracy Brighty

Program Director
Voice
Holistic Resilience for Singers

Ms. Brighty has been teaching voice for nearly thirty years. For many years she could be found in Miami and then in Austria. She currently finds her home in Wisconsin.

Her students can be found on opera stages all across the United States, on and off Broadway, in national and international tours, on TV, and in movies. They can also be found in courtrooms, hospital and surgical rooms, as university professors, public school teachers, doulas, and stay-at-home moms.

In 2005 Ms. Brighty co-founded Lied Austria International, with her late husband Wolfgang Lockemann. LAI was the premiere summer program for Lieder study and ran for many seasons. It took place twice each summer for four weeks in Southern Austria. She was Managing Director and Voice Teacher for LAI for its entirety, while continuing to maintain her full voice studio in Miami.

In more recent years, while living in Austria full time, on top of her teaching schedule, she was called to more alternative, holistic methods. Ms. Brighty has completed trainings and certifications in many holistic healing modalities. These include: a 10-month Spirit Healing (Geistheilung) certification course, which included meditation and breathwork among its many components, and several courses as a Life Coach. She participated in a five year training program in Acupressure, which included certifications of completion. She has taken part in hundreds of hours of online trainings, workshops, and webinars in Herbalism, and is currently working on a year-long course with certification.

These holistic approaches have become part of her life’s work, and she is deeply committed to sharing this beneficial wealth of this information.

In alignment with this mission, you can watch for information on her (*Coming Soon*) blog entitled The Singer’s Support, which she is most excited about!
